Can you polka? If so, then you should know that there are regular dance events at the Swedish Cultural Center! Check the calendar for dates.

Hope to see you there!

Friday, Apr. 1. Skandia Family Dance.
Come join the merriment as children's laughter, smiles and small dancing feet fill the Cedar Valley Grange Hall for the Skandia Family Dance! The party will begin at 6 p.m. with pizza, salad and drinks (as long as supplies last) for those coming directly from work or school. Both young and old alike will learn how to finger-weave, and in other corners of the room traditional Scandinavian instruments will be available so little ones can experience the magical sounds up close. Kids also will have the opportunity to color Scandinavian-themed pages of costumes, trolls and Vikings, and cut and weave paper heart baskets.

At 7 p.m., partygoers will follow the musicians upstairs, where Bart Brashers and Eileen Little will lead the group in an hour and a half of enthusiastic participatory dancing. Dances will be geared for everyone ages 4 and up—no dance experience necessary! So bring your children, grandchildren, nieces/nephews or neighborhood kids and experience an evening that will surely bring a smile to your face and renewed energy to your own dancing. See you there! Cedar Valley Grange in Lynnwood, 20526 52nd Ave. W. $10; Skandia members $7; kids free. Contact if you have any questions or would like to volunteer.
